Build Your Career at PACE

The development of individual skills is fundamental to PACE achieving its greater business goals, and we are committed to our ongoing training investment programme.

In addition to an annual Personal Development Review, where employees take the opportunity to discuss their performance and future aspirations, we also support professional accreditation and job specific related training.

We offer Business Improvement Training which is a government led standard.  Currently 40% of our staff have or are completing BITL2 and 8% have or are completing BITL3, one person is currently undertaking BITL4 and we are looking to invest in BITL5 in 2020.

This programme is designed not only to improve technical but also interpersonal, problem-solving and decision-making skills and equips our staff to lead their teams more effectively.

The programme is a challenge in commitment, time-management and professional competence to meet external benchmark criteria.

Each level is tailored to the needs of both the business and learners culminating with an assessment and qualification at NVQ level 2,3 ,4 or 5.  The courses take between 12-24 months to complete.

Mentoring

To create a working environment that progresses its employees, we have recently introduced a mentoring scheme.

The programme assigns employees to key individuals who can provide guidance and advice, utilising their own personal experiences to guide their mentee through a variety of business relevant situations.

Case study

We recently worked provided training with Skills Training UK – read the case study here.

or view the video below.

I started working at PACE 6 years ago. There’s great opportunity – I have progressed to Works Manager/Team Leader having joined the company as an Operator.

PACE is a friendly place to work and feel very valued as a person. There is plenty of training provided, as well as BIT Training, which has helped me a lot.
